What is Mediation?
Mediation is an alternative dispute resolution process, wherein separating spouses meet with a neutral third party mediator to discuss and resolve issues arising out of the breakdown of their relationship.

If you and your ex spouse do not agree on all of the terms of your separation, but you would like to resolve any outstanding issues without having to go to court, mediation can help facilitate productive conversations to resolves the outstanding issues. Mediation is more cost effective, time efficient and results in more satisfactory outcomes than the court process.

Initial Mediation Package – $1,500 plus tax
Addtional mediation sessions charged by the hour at $300/hour plus tax

Separation Agreements
What is a Separation Agreement?
A separation agreement is a legal document outlinging the separated spouses agreements pertaining to children, child support, spousal support and property.
Deciding if it is right for you
If you and your ex spouse already agree on all of the terms of your separation, a legal separation agreement can be drafted outlining those agreed upon terms. The separation agreement can then be submitted to the court along with your divorce application.

DIVORCE APPLICATIONS
What is a Divorce Application?
A Divorce application is the paperwork that must be submitted to the court in order to obtain a divorce certificate and be considered legally divorced. A divorce certificate is required prior to remarrying.
Deciding if it is right for you
If you and your ex spouse already have a separation agreement signed, a Divorce application can be submitted to the court in order to finalize the divorce. This will allow you to obtain your official certificate of Divorce.

PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENTS
What is a prenuptial agreement?
A prenuptial agreement is a legal document that outlines the rights and agreed upon responsibilities of spouses should they end up separating and/or divorcing.
Deciding if it is right for you
If you and your spouse would like to avoid conflict and plan for the future in the event that you end up separating, you may want to consider a cohabitation agreement. These agreements are particularly helpful with respect to property and assets.

Legal coaching is creative approach to practicing law that empower individuals to represent themselves in court or before tribunals with the legal advice and guidance of a lawyer.

GUARDIANSHIP APPLICATIONS
What is a guardianship application?
There are two main types of guardianship applications. Personal guardianship and property guardianship. The terms of the guardianship will vary depending on the circumstances.
